The petitioners of the 3 capitals case have requested for the cases to be postponed to November, and likewise, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has postponed the hearing of these cases to November 15th. Even the Andhra Pradesh government seemed to be okay with this decision and didn’t hurry the HC to take a decision immediately.
Previously though, the AP governetmn wasn’t as patient and hurried the AP HC to take a decision immediately. The hearings on the capitals cases were taking place early this year, and just when these cases came to a continuous hearing, the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic hit, and the cases had to be postponed to August. Now, these cases have been further postponed, to November, and everyone is surprised that the government is in no hurry for the hearing of these cases.
It should also be noted that CM Jagan’s independence day speech didn’t contain anything about the 3 Capitals, as he usually makes it a point to include the 3 Capitals in all of his speeches. It is now to be seen what the AP government’s reason is, for not being in a hurry.
