Over the years, several actors have exposed the dark side of the film industry, where the issue of the casting couch has caught the attention of everyone. It is known that a few wicked filmmakers try to take advantage of the helplessness of newcomers and outsiders in the industry.
Now, Ranveer Singh, one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, has recalled such casting couch experience during his initial days in the industry.
During a media interaction, Ranveer said: “This guy calls me to this seedy place and is like, ‘Are you a hard worker, or a smart worker?’. I didn’t consider myself to be smart, so I said: ‘I think I’m a hard worker.’ He was like, ‘Darling, be smart, be sexy’. I had all those kinds of experiences during those three-and-a-half years, and I think it was that period that makes me value the opportunities I have now.”
On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and a movie with director Shankar.
