Third-wave will have a severe impact on children, says Virologist

Experts warn that a third wave is inevitable in India. Renowned Virologist Dr.V Ravi warned that the third wave could have a severe impact on those under 18 years of age. Dr.V Ravi said that it was a matter of great concern that there were no child care centers as well as intensive care units in the country. He said immediate action was needed to that extent from the governments.

The Third Wave is expected to retain between October and December. He advised the central and state governments to be vigilant and take action. Medical experts warn that children under the age of five have a higher risk of coronavirus infection than adults.
