Earlier this morning, it was known that several members of the YSRCP party were getting ready to go to Delhi via a special flight to speak to the Lok Sabha Speaker about disqualifying MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju.
Bad blood between Raghurama Krishnam Raju and YSRCP members started when the Narasapuram MP started to oppose a few decisions taken by the party, like selling off a few assets belonging to the TTD, about making English the sole medium of instruction in government schools. Then of course there’s the matter of the show-cause notice that Vijaya Sai Reddy sent Raghurama Krishnam Raju, which the latter had rejected citing lack of legal credibility.
Vijaya Sai Reddy addressed the media after he met with the Lok Sabha Speaker, and spoke about what he had discussed with him. With respect to Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Vijaya Sai Reddy said that it was not okay to stay in a party and oppose that very party in every step, while indirectly supporting another party. Vijaya Sai Reddy said that this was exactly what he had told the Lok Sabha Speaker, and the reason why the party has taken a decision to disqualify Raghurama Krishnam Raju. Vijaya Sai Reddy also said that the Lok Sabha Speaker responded in the affirmative about the issue, and that they are all now waiting for an official reply.
However, contrary to what Vijaya Sai Reddy had said to the media, the faces of all those who met with the Lok Sabha Speaker were dull and disappointed to say the least. There was no glow, and happiness was visibly missing in their faces. This kind of an expression from all of them could only mean one thing, and that is that the Lok Sabha Speaker may not have responded in the affirmative to the disqualification of Raghurama Krishnam Raju.
On the other hand, Raghurama Krishnam Raju had gone to Delhi a long time ago, foreseeing this move from the members of the party. Raghurama Krishnam Raju had already spoken at length about these very issues with both the Lok Sabha Speaker, and the Union Home Minister as well. 44
Judging by the way YSRCP leaders looked after the meeting, looks like Raghurama Krishnam Raju might have the upper hand in this matter.
