The 8th round of talks between the Union and the farmers also ended without any progress.
While both sides are reiterating their views, there is no result. The Center has decided to hold another round of talks on January 15.
The High court is scheduled to hear separate petitions on January 11 challenging farmers’ concerns and cultivation laws in Delhi.
In this context, Central sources said that the next round of talks will be on the 15th of January.
Representatives of the farmers’ unions said the meeting went a bit wild. Hannan Mola, general secretary of the All India Kisan Sabha, has made it clear that he has no choice but to repeal the laws and will not go to court.
They emphasized that their struggle would continue until the cultivation laws were repealed.
