The never ending rift between RRR and YSRCP

YSRCP member and Narasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju has been very vocal about his opinions on the decisions that are being taken by the YSRCP government and has never backed out from expressing even the most controversial of statements. These statements have brought the MP numerous troubles, but he still isn’t backing down from expressing what he feels.

RRR recently met with the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, to discuss the 3 Capital bill that had been introduced in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy. This bill received mixed responses, and a Select Committee has been established in the Legislative Council, to come to a decision on this. He also questioned how the YSRCP is deviating from the word that it gave the people of Andhra Pradesh before the elections, wherein they promised them of making Amaravati a strong capital for the state.

RRR requested the President to look into this matter and make sure that Amaravati is reinstated as the sole Capital of Andhra Pradesh, or that it is made the executive capital, in case of 3 Capitals. RRR also said that a provision for a single capital was mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Act of 2014, and there was no provision of 3 Capitals.

He went on to say that the most number of lands in Amaravati have been given by the dalits, followed by Reddys and then Kammas, and that it wouldn’t be the fair of the government to make these people suffer

The matter about RRR’s security in the state was also discussed with the President. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju said that he’s been receiving many threatening calls, and that he needs personal protection.
