AP senior IPS officer and former intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao have been given big relief in the AP High Court. Recently, a preliminary bail petition was heard.
The court ordered the police not to take any action against him for the next 2 weeks.
The High Court directed the AP government to file a counterclaim by January 18. The court adjourned the next hearing to January 18.
Moreover, Venkateswara Rao wrote a letter to the IPS officers’ union. He said that he had not been given a posting since the YSRCP government came to power.
He had written a letter to the government after waiting for 7 months. He wrote another letter on January 8 last year but there was no response.
He said there was information that efforts were being made to register a criminal case against him and arrest him before the trial.
