Tamil actor Vijay announced his entry into politics ahead of Lok Sabha elections. He named his party Tamilagzha Vetri Kazham and announced it on February 2.
In a statement issued, he said that they are not going to contest Lok Sabha elections 2024 and also said that they would not support any party.
He added that Politics are not a hobby for him and it’s his deepest passion for which he wants to devote himself fully.
Often called as Thalapathy by his fans, Vijay is keen on politics from a long time and joins the list of actor turned politicians from Tamil Nadu after high profile actors like MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Vijaykanth, Jayalalitha, Kamal Hassan and others.
Vijay said that he have decided to complete his film which he is already committed to without affecting the party works and then involve himself into public service completely.
