Telangana’s disastrous performance in COVID-19 control is here

At the start of the pandemic in Telangana, KCR was a HERO to the whole state who is known for his aggressive press meets and hurried decisions. Now, the same KCR being blamed for the sad state of Telangana all of a sudden amid massive turn around of events. What happened in these 2 months? What made KCR look like an inefficient leader?

Well, you have to know that the Telangana is the least spent state on the health sector in its state budget who allotted a mere 4.5% of the whole. The under-developed state Bihar is way better than Telangana in this aspect.

On the other side, Telangana is at the bottom of the bottom half of the list among the states in conducting more COVID-19 tests in the country. Shockingly, they haven’t done at least 10% of the tests that were happened in Andhra Pradesh so far even with a city like Hyderabad in their state in which hundreds of positive cases have been registered daily.

We must agree that it is very difficult to control the situation when a city like Hyderabad is the capital of the state and what matters the most in that case, is the alertness and efficiency of the CM. KCR’s arrogant answers when anyone questioned him about the COVID-19 confirmatory tests got him to nowhere but to the day when the deaths of each and every COVID-19 patient was doubted for the past few days.

Many patients complain that doctors have no time to treat with the utmost care and have no control over the patients at risk and who need intensive care. This is being said to be the major reason for the increased number of deaths in the state. Even the High court got serious on the government for not conducting adequate tests and ordered them twice for the entire data on COVID-19 testing to date. This tells us what has been happening in that state since the COVID-19 outbreak.

In another shocking fact, Telangana state suffered highest unemployment than another state in the country in April and May months with a staggering rise of 30% when accounted to the whole. So, the TRS government needs to wake up at least in this critical situation to prevent the worst outcomes in the upcoming days as a result of their past negligence
