The Telangana government is following the Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE) and is opting to cancel the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations this year as well.
After PM Modi’s intervention, CBSE cancelled class 10 exams and postponed class 12 exams. Now, the file related to the exams in Telangana was sent by the Minister of Education to the Chief Minister KCR. Information is that this file has been signed by the Chief Minister.
There are 5 lakh 35 thousand Tenth class students in the state. Now, they will be promoted to higher classes with no exams. On the other hand, there are 4 lakh, 58 thousand intermediate students, in the state. They are more likely to have the exams when the pandemic settles down.
Meanwhile, the government is reportedly planning to extend the dates of the entrance exams announced till now.
On the other hand, many states such as Odisha, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP, Tamil Nadu and Haryana have postponed the exams. However, Andhra Pradesh Board exams to be held as per schedule.
