Telangana TDP leader Ramana shifts to TRS party

Telugu Desam Party, which has a four-decade history, is now having a tough time in Telangana with party leaders walking out one after another since the 2019 defeat in Andhra Pradesh. The party is almost in the position not to raise their voice against the ruling TRS party.

Now, the party has suffered another major blow with TDP Telangana state unit president L. Ramana moving to the ruling party. According to reports, Ramana met TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad on Thursday.

As per reports, the NTR Trust Bhavan, which is the party’s headquarters, is now left with no prominent leaders except with the IT wing working for both the Telugu states.

Reports reveal that Ramana held meetings with his loyalists at Jagtial to decide on whether to join the TRS. In these meetings, the ace leader reportedly said his followers that the TDP had no future in Telangana and that it was prime time he joined the party in power.
