Telangana has over 25 lakh super-spreaders

The Telangana state government has decided to vaccinate all those who are considered to be super-spreaders of corona as soon as possible. The Super-spreaders category includes drivers, street vendors, gas delivery boys, bank employees, people working in petrol bunks, etc.

The Health Department estimates that there will be up to 25 lakh super-spreaders in the state. In three to four days, a report will be prepared on the details of the super-spreaders collected by the district collectors and it will be presented to the CM KCR.

Currently, Super‌ Spreaders are considered by the Department of Medical Health under two categories. One is over 45 years of age and the other is between 18-45. People over 45 years will be vaccinated under the central government quota and people between 18-46 years will be vaccinated under the state government quota.
