Journalist Naveen Kumar alias Teenmaar Mallanna, who was arrested by Jubilee Hills police, has been remanded in police custody till September 9.
The Chilkalguda police have registered a case under IPC section 387 (committing of extortion, puts or attempts to put any person in fear of death) and 504 (provocation) and on Friday night he was arrested. A case has also been registered a case against him for allegedly making objectionable comments against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Early this month, the officials of Hyderabad Cybercrimes too have filed a case against Naveen Kumar after a former female employee of QNews lodged a complaint against him. Meanwhile, Teenmaar Mallanna filed a petition for bail in the City Civil Court.
