TDP: Jagan is involved in benami transactions, that’s why he’s silent

A lot of discussions are going on about the money laundering and benami transactions taking place in Kakinada’s SEZ. Money worth Rs. 2,610 Crores was transacted in Kakinada, as part of setting up the Bulk Drug Industry in Kakinada. TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has demanded the Chief Minister that Rs. 1,000 Crores are to be given to the farmers as compensation.

Ramakrishnudu said that the CM should give each farmer at total of Rs. 10 Lakhs as compensation, in the case he had nothing do with the benami transactions that took place in Kakinada. Ramakrishnudu also pointed out that there was severe opposition to the government’s idea of setting up the Bulk Drug Industry in Kakinada, by the local people, who are scared of the amounts of pollution that the industry would unleash into their areas.

Furthermore, the bulk drug industry would also completely destroy the livelihood of the fishermen, with the amount of pollution it would cause to the surrounding water bodies. Ramakrishnudu also asked the Chief Minister to provide these fishermen with special financial assistance, and to also provide jetties to them, so that they could fish by going further to sea.

Not just the farmers and the fishermen, but many middle class and lower middle class families would also experience terrible losses financially, and also in terms of their livelihood, in case the bulk drug industry is set up at Kakinada. Ramakrishnudu has also asked the Chief Minister to give a share of the Aurobindo Infra income to the local people, so that they would be able to support themselves.

Ramakrishnudu has also said that the CM should announce all of these schemes if he really is unaware of the benami transactions, and if he really is against those transactions. Ramakrishnudu even said that the TDP would very soon take these benami transactions to the notice of the Central Government, and would get proper investigation done in the matter.
