Super Star Mahesh Babu is one of the top stars of the industry. The charming hero who was done 25 films in his lon career has now completed his 26th film Sarileru Neekevvaru and is awaiting for its release.
The movie after lot.of.thoughts is releasing on January 11th 2020 as Sankranthi special. Overall this is Mahesh’s 6th Sankranthi film in his career. The past five flicks have given different results for Mahesh at the box office. Let us have a look at those.
1. Mahesh Babu’s first Sankranthi release is for Takkari Donga which has turned into a disaster for Mahesh. Though the movie is a different kind of attempt it failed to live up to the expectations. Takkari Donga released on January 11th 2002.
2. Mahesh Babu for the next year i.e., in 2003 Sankranthi came up with blockbuster stuff with Okkadu. The film which got released on January 15th 2003 has set new records. Mahesh got.his stardom with this film.
3. After a gap of nearly 9 years, Mahesh has released his third movie for Sankranthi. Businessman in the direction of Puri Jagannath got released on Jan 13th 2012 and turned out to be a hit. Mahesh’s characterization won many accolades.
4. Next year Mahesh has given another movie for Sankranthi. On 11th January 2013 Mahesh-Venkatesh multistarrer Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu got released and emerged victorious. The movie has set a benchmark for multistarrers in TFI.
5. For the third consecutive year, Mahesh Babu movie got released for Sankranthi. 1 Nenokkadine showcasing Mahesh in a new avatar has been promoted as a different thriller but it failed to reach audiences expectations. The movie has turned into another disaster in Mahesh’s career.
Overall of the five films released so far, Mahesh Babu has 1 block buster, 1 super hit and 1 hit, however he has 2 disasters as well. Mahesh Babu for the sixth time is coming for Sankranthi and his latest film Sarileru Neekevvaru is looking so promising. By looking at all the promotional stuff released so far, Sarileru Neekevvaru could be the highest grosser in Mahesh’s career. Will it be another success for Mahesh in his Sankranthi stint or will it turn out to be his third flop for this season is to be seen.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Sarileru Neekevvaru has Rashmika playing the female lead role and Vijaya shanti is making a comeback into films with this flick.
