Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker Tammineni Sitharam has been facing a severe backlash from the Congress leaders.
Reacting to the criticism of the opposition parties on AP government’s declaration on Tirumala, Tammineni said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is born and brought up in AP.
“I seriously have no clue why the oppositions are crying foul on Tirumala declaration. It’s Sonia Gandhi who has fake citizenship,” Tammineni said.
Aggrieved over such statements, Congress leader Padma Sri went against him. She said that Tammineni is misusing his constitutional position. Is he a speaker or broker?,” questioned Padma Sri. Not only Padma Sri, a few other Congress leaders accompanied her to Vijayawada Police Station and lodged a complaint.

After complaining, Padma Sri spoke to the media, saying that the people are hating the language being used by the speaker and other ministers of the ruling party. He warned them that if they continue to move forward in the similar manner, then they have to face the rejection from public.
Kodela Siva Prasad, who was speaker in TDP’s regime has faced rejection from the then opposition YSRCP. In the similar manner, now Tammineni as a speaker is facing the similar rejection from the Congress now.
