Kollywood star Suriya Sivakumar is one of the few actors in the South, who raises his voice against the government whenever he finds fault in their decisions. He always felt that poor students in Tamil Nadu will suffer due to the central NEET selection process. Recently, the actor expressed dissatisfaction with the Centre proposed Cinematograph Act 2021.
With Suriya’s bitter reaction over BJP led Centre’s decision, the Tamil Nadu BJP unit is now angry with the Singham actor.
The Tamil Nadu BJP state youth working committee recently held a meeting. The working group, chaired by Tamil Nadu BJP youth wing secretary Vinod Selvam, was outraged by Suriya’s remarks.
After the meeting, Tamil BJP leaders issued a warning to Suriya, advising him to avoid unnecessary interference and false propaganda on BJP decisions. They also warned that legal action would be taken if he made false propaganda against the central government. It remains to be seen how Suriya responds to these warnings.
