Taliban to cut off fingers of women for applying nail polish

The situation of women in Afghanistan has worsened after the Taliban took the control of the country. The Taliban, who have pledged that women have rights under Islamic law or Shariah, are behaving brutally.

The insurgents have banned women from sporting denim. As well as, ladies have been ordered to not use nail polish on their fingers. If any violates on the nail polish, they warned to cut off the fingers.

A group of teenagers claimed to have been chased by a group of jihadists on the streets of Kabul, surrounded and accused of disrespecting Islam. The matter was widely publicized by the group on Facebook. Two in their group escaped from the jihadists and the rest were pronounced dead.

Others accused the Taliban of targeting them wearing T-shirts and jeans. Two days ago, an Afghan newspaper reported that the Taliban had killed their journalist for not wearing Afghan clothes. The newspaper reported that the Taliban had told the men that they would decide the dress code. The Taliban are also forcibly marrying girls over 12 years of age.

When the Taliban controlled the country from 1996 to 2001, they banned television and most musical instruments. In 1996, a woman in Kabul had the end of her thumb cut off for wearing nail polish.
