Nizamuddin Markaz Masjid lies in the Southern Delhi and West side of the Nizamuddin which is the main center of the worldwide ‘Tablighi Jamaat’. ‘Tablighi Jamaat’ means prophecy team and their aim is to preach the Mohammood prophet’s preachings all over the world for maximum reach.
There are 8 crore people from 200 countries in the entire world who believe in this religious congregation and we all know how this meet changed the course of the Indian economy and its fight with Corona. Actually, this meeting had to happen in Mumbai but the Maharashtra Police gave no permission and then this congregation was Shifted to Delhi’s Nizamuddin.
This meeting happened till March 21st even though the Delhi government issued orders to suspend all the political, social and religious gatherings in the country on March 13. The Muslims neglected their call and continued their meeting. Out of 9,000 people attended those meetings, 2,000 were foreigners and this is the collective failure of intelligence and the Delhi officials.
This entire disaster was first founded by the Telangana officials. When 11 Indonesian citizens in Karimnagar were tested positive for COVID-19 in Karimnagar, the entire Tablighi incident came into light. Out of all the reported positive cases in the country, 70% of the cases are related to this Tablighi’s religious congregation. That is the damage caused due to the negligence of Indian authorities.
In total, 3,193 Tablighis were sent to quarantine and 765 among them were tested as positive. So far and 1200 from Andhra Pradesh, 1030 from Telangana and 2000 from Tamilnadu were traced. Still, 6,000 members are being hidden and most of their’s mobile phones were switched off. If anyone expresses a doubt of conspiracy behind it, the last thing India would have wanted in this critical situation is a religious war.
Even after the government and the religious heads are requesting them to come out of their hidings and report in quarantines, none of them are heeding their voice. In the meanwhile, the people in quarantine are misbehaving with the medical professionals and causing ruckus. By the way, what all those 6,000 Tablighis doings in their hidden spots? Probably busy in writing the death fate of the country.
