Swiggy and Zomato, which made life much easier for people by bringing in the door delivery culture, extended its list towards liquor. It is a fact that the lock down proved the demand for liquor all over the nation. Majority of the people lined up in front of the liquor shops, soon after the relaxation.
Considering the expansion of their business and the impact of the Covid-19, Swiggy and Zomato decided to take up the task of delivering liquor to home. As the liquor is now available for delivery, the lines in front of the liquor shops may get drastically reduced. This will reduce the spread of Covid-19.
At the same time, the sales of liquor will not be disturbed, which will give more revenue for Government in the form of taxes and for Swiggy, Zomato in the form of delivery and service fees. This may further raise and boost up the shrinking market for Swiggy and Zomato.
