Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru joins Oscar race under general category

The film will be reviewed by Oscar‘s jury for best actor, best actress, best director, best original screenplay, and various other categories.

“Happy Republic Day! #SooraraiPottru joins OSCARS under General Category in Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Score & other categories! The film has been made available in the Academy Screening Room today,” Rajasekar Pandian tweeted a couple of hours ago.

For the unversed, Soorarai Pottru released directly on Amazon Prime Video on 12th November, 2020. The film garnered largely positive reviews and was received well by the common audiences alike.
