Exclusive: Sukumar invests Uppena’s profits in Sai Dharam Tej’s next

Star director Sukumar who co-produced Uppena is said to have bagged over Rs 20 crores from the film as it registered exceedingly good box office returns.

Now, Sukumar is set to invest the profits that he made from Uppena in his next production venture, SDT15 which will have Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role.

Billed to be a mystical thriller, this film will be directed by debutante Karthik. Sukumar penned the screenplay for the film and he will be co-producing it along with SVCC Creations.

Sukumar is confident about the script and he has decided to invest a sizeable amount on the project.

Sai Dharam Tej recently wrapped up Republic which has Deva Katta at the helm and he will be kick-starting SDT15 very soon. Sukumar has locked the final draft and pre-production works are in full swing now.

Also, the ace director is willing to produce more films under his own banner, Sukumar Writings in the days to come.
