Dookudu, directed by Sreenu Vaitla turned out to be the biggest hit in Mahesh Babu’s career at that point in time. However, the second film in this combination, Aagadu did not match the expectations and it bombed at the box office.
Post the release of Aagadu, Sreenu Vaitla stated he would certainly deliver a massive hit with Mahesh in the future.
Cut to now, Sreenu Vaitla is apparently working on the story for the sequel of Dookudu. He has been focusing on this project since the inception of lockdown. He will be completing the final draft soon.
Firstly, Sreenu Vaitla wishes to get back to winning ways with Dhee 2 which will commence by the end of the year. The noted filmmaker opines it would be right for him to approach Mahesh after he proves that he still has what it takes to score a blockbuster.
Sreenu Vaitla is confident that Mahesh would show interest in working with him again if he comes up with the right story.
As of now, Mahesh is focused on Sarkaru Vaari Paata. He is expected to work with Rajamouli after the Parasuram directorial. So, Mahesh-Sreenu Vaitla project will not be hitting the floors anytime soon and for that to happen, the latter will have to come up with a winning story.
