South Korean based company LG Chemicals is sending a special team of 8 members to investigate on the gas leakage in LG Polymers, Vizag. The South Korean company representatives had a discussion with the state and the central Government officials in India, on this visit.
The special team will be investigating the issue and will be identifying the root cause for the leakage. Apart from that, the special team will be giving the safety precaution instructions to the affected villages.
Around 11 people in Vizag region got killed in this incident and the Government is investigating on whether it is a human error or an accident. As of now, the company has 13000 tonnes of styrene in the Vizag plant and the Government is sending it back to Seoul in two ships.
