Many news reports surfaced revealing appalling information that 25 A-list stars were named by actor Rhea Chakraborty during her probe over the alleged drug bust case in link with Sushant Singh Rajput death. Nonetheless, soon the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) cleared the air that no Bollywood celebs have been enlisted by the anti-drugs agency.
Speaking with the media channel, NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra asserted, “We have not prepared any Bollywood list. The list earlier prepared was of peddlers and traffickers. It’s getting speculated as Bollywood celebs.” When inquired further about the three actresses’ reports, Malhotra said, “The names have not been zeroed upon.”
Earlier rumours were doing rounds that Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have been named by Rhea. While few reports suggest that Drug peddlers purposely created to deviate the case towards them so as to evade from the clutches of NCB.
Several celebrities and fans unduly reacted to apologise them. #SorryRakul and #SorrySara hashtags kept trending after numerous netizens opined their feelings on the incident along with apologies.
Of late Tollywood actress Samantha backed Rakul Preet and quashed such rumours. One of the user’s Insta story shared by Sam said “We as a society have all the rights to shame anyone for our own entertainment. I’m very sorry that I’m part of the society”.
