The monsoon parliamentary (Lok Sabha) sessions start today in Delhi, and all kinds of precautions are being taken to make sure that there will be no spreading of Coronavirus. Upon testing, a shocking number of 24 people have tested positive for the virus, including MPs from various states, and several Union Ministers.
There are also 2 YSRCP MPs in this list, Chittoor MP Reddappa and Araku MP Madhavi. Reddappa had shown no symptoms at all, not even the mildest, and yet tested positive for the virus. He was declared asymptomatic, and was asked to go back home and be in home isolation. Madhavi had been suffering with fever for a few days now, and is not set to receive treatment for the virus, while she continues to stay in Delhi.
Reddappa was previously criticised for the way Coronavirus was being handled in Chittoor, where a lot of negligence was shown, and where SriKalahasti MLA Biyyapu Madhusudan Reddy had danced along with the local people, despite being tested positive for Coronavirus.
Since this is the first time that the Parliament is holding its sessions since the onset of the virus, strict guidelines have been issued by the Center, and the Lok Sabha Speaker made it clear that no one – no matter how mild the symptoms may be – will be allowed to take part in the sessions, if they test positive.
