Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who made an indelible impression with his charity acts among stranded labours became a real hero during the Covid-19 lockdown. It’s heard that the actor is planning to make first-person account by quoting his experiences, when he rescued the migrants.
He recounted the experiences by saying, “The past three and half months have been a kind of a life-changing experience for me, living with the migrants for 16 to 18 hours a day and sharing their pain. When I go to see them off as they begin their journey back home, my heart is filled with joy and relief”.
Sonu Sood disclosed that witnessing the hopeful smiles on the migrants’ faces and the tears of pure joy in their eyes has been the most wonderful moments in his life.
“I believe I came to this city for this — it was my purpose. I want to thank god for making me a catalyst in helping the migrants. While my heart beats in Mumbai, after this movement I feel a part of me lives in the villages of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttarakhand and various other states that created profound connections with new people”. He stated that he would compile all the experiences into stories that are etched in his soul in the form of book. His debut book is expected to be published by Ebury Publishing, a division of Penguin Random House India.
