We know several countries across the globe are spending a bomb on their space research programs to find new things about the universe and other planets.
Now, the latest news is that the US space agency (NASA) is spending heavily to bring a kilo of soil from the planet Mars as the value of this soil is many times greater than gold.
Experts say that if it materializes, it will end up being the most expensive material on earth. NASA is extracting kilograms of soil samples from Mars to examine whether there was once life on Mars. It will cost a total of $900 crore. Due to the enormous cost, it remains a very expensive material.
The price of this clay, which is the same size as the price of a kilo of gold, is 2 lakh times more! Many types of research are carried out on these models. So far, the surface on Mars has been explored by rovers there. This is the first time the soil has been brought to earth.
As per the reports, the rover will complete the collection of samples in 2023. But it will take more than a decade to bring them to earth. Scientists believe that once there was a vast lake. It is estimated to have disappeared about 100 billion years ago.
