Small screen beauty roped in for Samantha’s Shakuntalam

If latest reports are to be believed, small screen actress Varshini Sounderajan, who is seen in TV entertainment programs has bagged an important role in the film.

The actress is said to have been offered a pivotal role in the mythological love drama and she readily came on board. She will be joining the sets very soon.

Varshini is apparently bowled over by the character that she was offered by the director of the Samantha starrer, Gunasekhar. She is excited about the big opportunity.

Shakuntalam is directed by Gunasekhar and it features Samantha and Dev Mohan in important roles. The makers are promoting the mythological love drama as a pan-India film. Dil Raju is co-producing the film.
