Skanda Trailer: Boyapati’s outdated stuff

The makers of Skanda, a collaborative project of Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu unveiled the trailer for the film a short while ago.

As expected, the trailer is loaded with Boyapati’s mass scenes. But we get an outdated vibe from the start. The mass makeover and dialogues aren’t Ram’s cup of tea and whatever he does looks forced.

Thaman has delivered his trademark loud BGM. But the Boyapati mark outdatedness in the name of mass masala makes the audience lose interest from the outset.

The trailer also has cheap production values as the CGI shots look scratchy. Better visual imagery is needed for a film of this day and age

Perhaps, this is the kind of stuff Boyapati can make only with Balayya. For the rest, it looks forced and cliched.

The film is up for release on the 15th of September and it is promoted as a mass actioner. Can the film offer any better stuff than the dated stuff in the trailer? We shall wait and see.
