SIIMA 2022: Allu Arjun, Balakrishna win best actor awards

The South Indian International Movie Awards are one of the most prestigious film awards in the South film industry. The awards honour artists from all four regional languages (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada) cinemas. We know SIIMA Awards 2022 are set to happen in Bengaluru on September 10 and 11 this year.

The latest news is that Allu Arjun took home the Best Actor award while Balakrishna walked away with Best Actor (Critic).

Here is a list of Telugu winners:
Best Film – Pushpa
Best Actor (Audience) – Allu Arjun
Best Actor (Critics) – Balakrishna
Best Actor (Debutant) – Panja Vaishnav Tej
Best Actress (Audience choice) – Sai Pallavi
Best Actress (Debutant) – Krithi Shetty
Best Director – Buchibabu Sana

Among the Telugu films nominated, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ got 12 nominations following Akhanda, which received 10 nominations.

Established by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad Adusimilli in 2012, the SIIMA Awards honours filmmakers from the South Indian film industries every year.
