Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cabinet has passed the G.O. No. 938 on Wednesday.
AP ex-CM YS Rajashekar Reddy earlier introduced the same G.O. to curb the freedom of the media. He strictly went against the channels, for allegedly posting the false news. But the G.O. has received a huge criticism from the media and also led to the protests. So unwilling to turn the issue uglier, YSR called off the G.O.
Even after such circumstances, Jagan still brought back the G.O. now, saying that the TV channels, print media, web media and even posts by the individuals on social media, will not be spared, if they publish any false information. The one who crosses the line, will have to face the legal action and also defamation suit.

Since the formation of YSRCP government, Jagan has been constantly moving against the media, especially such channels which are backed by the opposition TDP. Adding to it, the latest G.O. has come as a shocker to all such TV media and print media. It should be seen, whether the media goes against the state government and makes sure the young CM drops his G.O like how YSR dropped it earlier.
