After witnessing a mixed result with the most anticipated movie 2.0, Shankar later took up Bhaaratheeyudu 2. But the project has been shelved for now, due to budget and also the personal reasons of Kamal Haasan.
Meanwhile, the reports are rife that Shankar is planning a multi-starrer, with Vijay’s son Jason Vijay and Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram as the leads.
While the script work for the film is going on, the movie is expected to go to the sets in 2020. As the young heroes have a massive star background, the project has acquired quite significance in Kollywood.

The director is also responsible for handling the star image of Vijay and Vikram, and accordingly, he is required to plan the script, otherwise, he may have to face backlash from the fans of the stars.
Dhruv is currently awaiting the release of his debut Adithya Varma, the remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Jason is undergoing the film course in U.S and Shankar’s movie is going to be his debut.
