In the days of no internet and no cell phones, Shakeela’s movies were the only option for the public, to watch adult scenes. So the actress enjoys a decent craze across the country, irrespective of the languages. While this is on one side of her life, the other side is what the biopic is going to discuss about.
It is widely believed that Shakeela had a dark past, which is not revealed to many till date. So everyone is curious about knowing it and are so keen to catch up the biopic of the yesteryear popular adult film actress.
Bollywood actress Richa Chadha is playing Shakeela’s role in the biopic, that is being directed by Indrajith Lankesh. Not limiting to the Indian audience, the makers are also planning to take the film out of the country. For this, they are planning to cut the international version separately.

While the Indian version is going to be according to the taste of the audience here like songs, dances and such stuff, the international version is going to deal the point in a straight way, with no extra stuff.
Ballu Saluja, who earlier edited the international versions of Lagaan and Dangal will be editing the international version of Shakeela biopic too.
Though being a straight film in Hindi, the biopic will also be dubbed into other Indian languages, for the kind of craze the project has acquired across the country. The makers are planning to release the film in August.
