The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will be holding a second random lottery selection from the previously submitted H-1B visas for the fiscal year of 2024.
The initial round was held in March this year. The petitioners who registered for FY 2024 only are eligible to file H-1B cap-subject petitions, and the initial filing period for this was from April 1st to June 30th this year.
Further details are expected to be announced once the registration process is completely done, and the month of the lottery will also be announced then.
The H-1B visa allows companies and other employers in the US to hire foreign workers to work for their companies in the USA, considering that they are highly eligible and suitable for the job, with relevant knowledge, education, and skills. Every year, the US government gives 65,000 H-1B visas open to all, and around 20,000 visas to those with advanced US degrees.
