YSRCP minister Vijayasai Reddy is someone who usually sticks to politics, or to anything that deals with his party in particular. However, his recent remarks about the film industry are going viral, because of how out of sync his statements were, with respect to the task at hand.
However, during a recent speech in the Rajya Sabha, while supporting the new Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2023, Vijayasai Reddy veered off-topic, and urged the Union information and broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur, to introduce legislation to contain the remuneration of film actors.
This bill is supposed to consist of guidelines for film certification, and hence, Vijayasai’s statements have come totally as a shock to everyone.
He took Salman Khan and his hefty remuneration as an example, and questioned why is it that only the sons of poplar actors are becoming heroes, while the daughters are not being given a chance, failing to recognise the various female actresses of the country that come from recognisable families.
In all of what he said, it is clear that Vijayasai Reddy continues to target the film industry.
