The Supreme Court has issued contempt of court notices to Telangana Power Generating Company (Genco) and Electricity Transmission Company (Transco) regarding the division of electricity employees. Notices were issued to Genco, Transco CMD Prabhakar Rao, SPDACL CMD Raghumareddy and Corporate Office Officer Gopala Rao. The Supreme Court has heard a case filed by 84 electrical employees alleging that the Telangana government did not include them in the duties.
According to the report, 1,150 electrical employees were allocated equally to the two Telugu states. Of this, the AP government has already hired 655 people. But in Telangana, the state government recruited all the employees except 84 people. With this, the employees approached the Supreme Court. The apex court, hearing the petition, issued notice to the authorities and adjourned the hearing till July 16.
