As we had exclusively reported earlier, Gunasekhar’s upcoming film has been titled Shakuntalam. He had already started working on the project and will complete it before he shifts focus towards Hiranyakashyapa with Rana Daggubati.
As said by our sources, Gunasekhar is in talks with star actress, Samantha for Shakuntalam.
The acclaimed filmmaker feels Samantha suits the role perfectly and has initiated talks with the noted actress. Samantha is yet to give her nod to the project though. She will be getting back to the movie unit soon.
Gunasekhar revealed that this film is a whimsical tale of love from Adi Parva of Mahabharata. He is planning to make the film on a pan India scale.
Samantha is presently focused on her newly launched clothing line Saaki. She will be assessing her future projects and start working on them very soon. She was approached by a few other filmmakers recently and more details are to follow.
