Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Radhe is the first mainstream high-profile film to simultaneously release in theatres and also on OTT platform on pay-per-view basis. ZEE5 bagged the rights of the film and made it available for streaming on their digital platform on pay-per-view model.
Now, ZEE5 is reportedly willing to follow a similar model for Sai Dharam Tej’s Republic as well. The renowned platform has bagged the theatrical and non-theatrical rights of the film and they are planning to follow Radhe’s model for its release.
Republic will be released in theatres in select locations abroad and also simultaneously stream on ZEE5 on pay-per-view basis.
ZEE5 is already contemplating the optimal release date for the film and an official announcement in this regard will be made once they sort out the logistics.
In all likelihood, Republic might be hitting the big and also the small screens in the next couple of months.
