Former India captain and batting icon Sachin Tendulkar, who tested positive for Coronavirus last week, has been hospitalised as a precautionary measure.
Tendulkar tested positive for Covid-19 on March 27 and had been quarantined himself at home as he had only mild symptoms.
The 47-year-old Cricket legend took to Twitter to announce the development on Friday. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone.”
In the same tweet, Sachin has also congratulated all Indians and his teammates for the 10th anniversary of the 2011 World Cup win.
