Rs.25 crore fines were collected from 52 hospitals in the Guntur district

Guntur District Collector Vivek Yadav inspected the hospitals in Guntur district which are providing corona treatment. He said that 25 hospitals were fined Rs.2 lakh and 12 hospitals were fined Rs.5 lakh for not allocating 50 percent of beds under the Arogyasri scheme. Recently, the district collector reviewed the services provided under the Arogyasri scheme in hospitals. Along with this, another 15 hospitals were fined Rs.1 lakh for violating the corona rules. Vivek Yadav made it clear that a total of Rs.25 crore was collected in the form of fines.

The district collector warned the private hospitals not to indulge in any type of irregularities while treating the corona patients. Previously, the government asked the patients to inform the authorities if the private hospitals charge high fees.
