It looks as though YSRCP rebel MP from Narasapuram, Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, is never going to stop attacking his own party and Chief Minister. One after the other, even after he was put in jail for his questioning of the government’s ways, and criticising it, RRR hasn’t stopped attacking the YSRCP and its members. In his latest move, RRR has written a letter to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, seeking an enquiry into the CAG report on the State government finances for the 2020-21 year. The CAG report found fault with the State government for irregularities in accounting in the state.
According to the CAG report, there have been several instances where the YSRCP government failed to seek the permission of the assembly before it spent the funds in the treasury, which also includes many demand notes. The report also stated that the state finance department failed to provide the necessary explanation or justification for all of these expenditures. Based on these observations, RRR sought a proper enquiry into the ordeal, by the Central government, and also sought a forensic audit to check the total accounting by the state government.
Earlier this year, RRR said that he would resign from his post as an MP if the YSRCP fails to get him disqualified from the Lok Sabha. The MP also put several deadlines for this, but ultimately didn’t resign from his post, and continues to live in Delhi, away from the YSRCP. With regards to his letter to the PM, it is now to be seen what will happen.
