The Telangana government had earlier passed an order, stating that no vehicles carrying coronavirus patients from Andhra Pradesh are allowed to enter Telangana. Following these orders, the Telangana Police department turned away tens of vehicles and ambulances carrying coronavirus patients at the borders of Telangana. As a result, a lot of people struggled and suffered.
The Andhra Pradesh government expressed its displeasure over the issue, stating that the Telangana government is committing a highly inhuman deed by turning away people in need.
Things are now looking better for people travelling to Hyderabad from Andhra Pradesh for coronavirus treatment, as vehicles carrying coronavirus patients from Andhra Pradesh are being allowed into the state, even if the patients do not possess online permission after the police write down their details. Vehicles carrying coronavirus patients from Andhra Pradesh are being allowed into Telangana from Friday night, following the HC’s orders.
On the other hand, officials from Telangana are arguing that a large number of beds in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad, are being claimed by people from other states, especially those from Andhra Pradesh.
