Despite the Telangana High Court’s directions not to prevent ambulances from Andhra Pradesh at the border, the TS police have once again stopped them at the borders on Friday. The Telangana police are not permitting the patients even after the families are showing them the bed confirmation letters from hospitals in Hyderabad.
As many as 40 ambulances were halted for hours at the toll plaza. Despite requests from hopeless family members, the cops did not let the ambulances enter the state.
As per reports, the police said they were rigidly following the instructions given by the government of Telangana. They claim that the hospitals in Hyderabad are under pressure due to the caseload and they cannot serve more patients from other states.
Although after showing all permissions, the officials of Telangana at the border are not allowing the patients to pass citing various reasons. Following this, a scuffle broke out between the police and AP patients.
The people, who are protesting at the toll plaza, are even reminding that Hyderabad is a common capital for both the states and the people of AP have the right to go there and take the treatment.
