Although India started the third phase of the Coronavirus vaccination drive on May 1, many states in the country have signalled the shortage of vaccines and are trying to vaccinate the citizens according to the availability of the stock.
In order to get their covid jab, people in hundreds are waiting for hours outside vaccination centres, violating the Covid-19 norms.
As per reports, there is a severe shortage of vaccine in the state. As the congestion and crowds took place, it was decided to formulate and implement a definite plan for vaccination. The government is changing its strategy and implementing an alternative plan.
The state has decided to vaccinate people by sending slips to them, mentioning at what time they should visit the vaccination centres. Will provide information via SMS in urban areas. Apparently, priority is being given to people who need to take the second dose. The vaccine doses will arrive in the state after May 15.
