The Movie Artistes Association’s (MAA) elections this year became the talk of the town, with the two groups that contested in the elections making a wide range of comments and allegations against each other, including personal attacks, and attacks related to their respective film careers.
The MAA elections have never been so politically charged as this year, making it seem and sound as though they’re no less than our regular politics. The swearing-in ceremony of the new members of the association took place recently, and with Prakash Raj saying that there are many problems within the association, the matter has become a little more complicated now. Many had many things to say about the elections, and the latest to comment is director Ram Gopal Varma.
Known to make snarky comments on anything at all, RGV said that the MAA association and the things going on within look like a circus to him.
