Review & Rating: Raju Gari Gadhi 3

Cast: Ashwin Babu, Avika Gor, Ali etc.

Producer: Oak entertainments

Direction: Ohmkkar

Music: Shabbeer

Release date: October 18th, 2019

After a good response to the first one and divided response for the second one, Ohmkaar now came up with his third installment of Raju Gari Gadhi, titling it as Raju Gari Gadhi 3. Let us get into the review to know the fate of it.

Story:

Maya (Avika Gor) works as a junior doctor in a private hospital. Yakshini, a ghost, goes against those who propose Maya. It is then Ashwin proposes Maya and the ghost since then falls back of the hero. What are the troubles he faced from the devil and how did he overcome them? Why is Yakshini protecting Maya? The answers to these questions can be found in Raju Gari Gadhi 3 movie.

Performances:

Ashwin as an actor could prove his acting skills to some extent. But the weak narration and predictable plot, did not offer him much to showcase his skills. Avika Gor is impressive on screen. Especially, her performance as the ghost in the climax is terrific. Rest other other roles are satisfactory.

Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is the major highlight of Raju Gari Gadhi 3. His visuals, for the horror comedy, have elevated several scenes well. Even music director Shabbeer’s background score is another asset of the film. The special effects and Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues deserve a special mention.

Plus points:

– First 10 minutes

– Ashwin’s ghost episode

– Ghost’s comedy episode in the second half

– Avika Gor’s climax episode

– Few thrills

Negative points

– The scenes in the combination of Shiva Shankar master, Brahmaji, Prabhas Seenu, Get up Seenu, Hariteja.

– Ohmkkar ignored to build up the story and attempted to give his brother, a hero image.
– Three songs

– Interval block that fails to raise any expectations on the second half.

– After a 20 minute good comedy, a sudden routine comedy irritates and spoils the mood of the audience.

– Silly climax

– Predictable story and boring screenplay

– No emotions

– Last 20 minutes

Story- Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is a remake of Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, a Tamil film. A good comedy, helped the Tamil version to attain a success. But Ohmkkar failed to make such impact in the Telugu version.

A horror movie works well, only if the audience connects with the emotion of the ghost. But there is no such impressive flashback to the ghost and so the connection will be lost. Even the screenplay is weak. Except for a few thrills and laughs, there is nothing much to discuss about the film. Ohmkkar failed as a director in bringing out a good film.

Analysis:

After a disastrous attempt in the form of Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Ohmkkar fails to make an impact, even with the third film of the franchise. The director tried to play only around the bush with comedy, ignoring to include the story. Only Chota K Naidu’s work may stand out in the film. It is better for the rest others to forget Raju Gari Gadhi 3 as early as possible.
Finally: Fails to impress.
