Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy has recently been promoted to the post of the new Chief of the TPCC. There have been celebrations everywhere, with Revanth’s followers celebrating throughout the state.
Revanth met with everyone from his party, including juniors and seniors, so that the party functioning would be smooth, which would help with the proper development of the party in the state. Revanth also met with several popular media channels’ biggies and felicitated them with shawls and bouquets. This is the aspect that is now bringing a lot of criticism for Revanth.
Revanth met with Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao, Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna and TV5 chairman B R Naidu, all of whom are politically affiliated with Chandrababu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party. TV5 and Andhra Jyothy, in particular, have been labelled as hardcore TDP supporters, due to their anti-Jagan propaganda. Revanth did not meet with other TV channel biggies, like that of TV9 or NTV, who usually stay natural towards TDP and Jagan.
With Revanth meeting only those media houses which are popularly labelled as yellow media, it is being said that Revanth is still very much loyal to Naidu, and TDP. Added to this is that Revanth never misses wishing Naidu on his birthday. It is now to be seen what sort of political ramifications this will bring about in the state.
