Revanth Reddy is the President of the Telangana Congress Party, and he is doing everything he can, to make sure that the Congress party comes into power, in the upcoming elections. The politician seems to be coming up with new ideas and schemes every week, to say the least, to get the support of the public.
In his recent statements, the politician said that the Congress party is planning to come up with a new city by pooling the land in the Rachakonda and Guttala areas. He said that this would help reduce overpopulation and alleviate the problems faced by people living in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad. This is a formula that is exactly like that of the Amaravati formula that Chandrababu tried to implement in Andhra Pradesh.
What Revanth Reddy seems to fail to recognize is that the people living in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad wouldn’t suddenly relocate to the new city that is being built, even if he invites big companies to come and establish themselves in that area. That area would be developed separately, and a new set of people would inhabit the area, which means that the overpopulation and other issues being faced by the people in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad would continue to remain as is.
While the concept of wanting to balance development with welfare is a good one, Revanth Reddy seems to be believing in fiction than in reality.
