The restrictions on international passenger flights have been extended till March 31. The DGCA announced it has continued the ban on international commercial passenger flights till March 31, 2021, which have remained suspended since March 23, 2020, when the lockdown regulations were enforced.
As India is witnessing a rise in Covid-19 cases after reportedly dropping a while, the competent authority has taken this decision.
However, the restrictions will not apply to international all-cargo services and flights especially approved by the DGCA. Flights running under the mutual air bubble agreements with selected countries will continue to run.
Currently, India has bilateral air bubble agreements with various countries including Japan, the US, the UK, France, Germany, etc.
